One of my new favorite products - LOVE LOVE LOVE these baby food storage trays!
When Aidan started eating solids I enjoyed so much making all of his baby food. I knew what was going into his little body and helping him grow. I used mostly organic foods but even if I hadn't, just knowing that his food didn't contain all those preservatives was really important to me. I even got a little crazy :-) and have a vegetable garden (with lots of help from my master gardener mother!) and grew most of our vegetables and herbs!
I also wanted him eating the things that we were eating hoping that it would help keep him from being a picky eater. Did it work you may ask? I'd like to say yes, however, I may have just gotten lucky with a not so picky eater. Who knows. Anyway, I wish I had known about these storage trays when I was making his food - I used ice cube trays and press & seal plastic wrap over them but we always ended up with some freezer burn (and a mess!). So if you are in the baby food making frame of mind - check these out - they are fantastic! They are BPA-free and can be used to store breast milk as well. The storage trays are by Fresh Baby and we have them in store & online for $14.00 for a two-pack.
I have been asked for some menu/recipe ideas for new eaters and toddlers and I do have lots - so maybe that will be another post in the near future.

I think those containers are really helpful too. My favorite website for food suggestions is http://www.babyfood101.com. I hope this is helpful.
